Samsung Galaxy Core 2 now available in Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia is introducing its new Galaxy Core 2 ahead of the Raya holidays. The new 4.5″ entry level smart phone was just announced globally a few days ago and it is priced locally at RM599.

In terms of specs, the front 4.5″ TFT display does a WVGA resolution of 800×480 and it runs on a Quad-Core 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of RAM. On-board it comes with 4GB of storage with a microSD slot that accepts up to 64GB. It also gets a 5MP + VGA camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-SIM card slots which supports 3G HSPA+ up to 21Mbps.

With a 2,000mAh capacity battery, it weighs 138 grams and has a thickness of 9.8mm. Out of the box, it runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat and Samsung’s very own TouchWiz UI.
