OnePlus One now available in Malaysia for under RM1,300

UPDATE: OnePlus One is now offered at RM1,099 via SatuGadgetDotCom.

For those who have been dreaming about the rebel OnePlus One smart phone, you’ll be happy to know that it is now available for purchase in Malaysia. Grey importers DirectD and SatuGadgetDotCom have started selling the device at RM1,299 and RM1,279 respectively. Take note that the OnePlus One units are grey imports and warranty is supported by the retailers themselves.

The OnePlus One is officially sold at US$299 for the 16GB which is about RM960 while its 64GB version is going for US$349 (about RM1,120). At about RM300 extra, you’re actually paying for the exclusivity and it is still the cheapest Quad-Core 2.5GHz Snapdragon Android smart phone that you can get in the market right now.

The unit which they are offering is the 16GB version and the LTE spec unit is reported to be working fine with Celcom LTE. The OnePlus One hardware list continues with a 5.5″ Full HD display which runs on a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. It also gets a 13MP Sony BSI Camera, 5MP front facing camera and a larger 3,100mAh. Overall, this is pretty much identical with the Oppo Find 7 without the Quad HD display. Not surprising as the OnePlus is alleged to be a spin off company of Oppo.
