UPDATE: Check out our hands-on and first impressions of the BlackBerry Z3.
Initially developed for the Indonesian market, the BlackBerry Z3 is available in Malaysia from July 7 and will retail for RM699. Operators will also be offering the device soon.
Announced at MWC 2014, the Z3 features a 5-inch a qHD (960×540) touch display pushing 220ppi, a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8230 processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage. You also get a generous 2,500mAh battery and a micro USB port as standard. If you need more storage, the Z3 also comes with a microSD card expansion slot that support cards up to 32GB.
For taking pictures, there’s a 5MP rear camera that can do full HD 1080p video while the front you get a 1.1MP shooter that can do HD 720p videos. Being developed to meet a certain price range, the Z3 lacks LTE but you get WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
But for the asking priced you’d probably be better off getting the BlackBerry Z10 which has an arguably better screen (4.2-inch 1280×768, 355ppi), better camera, more RAM and more storage.
