If you’re watching the 2014 FIFA World Cup using your TV then you’re doing it wrong. Astro — the official broadcaster of the 2014 FIFA World Cup — says it has much more to offer football fans this World Cup season with ‘Astro Go 2014 FIFA World Cup’ app.
Beyond being able to stream all 64 World Cup matches live to your device (tablets, smartphone and computer) while you’re away from the telly, the app brings a suite of features that enhances your TV viewing experience like being able to switch between six different live camera feeds on the fly. You can also pause and rewind live matches to catch instant replays as well as read about team/player profiles and other match stats.
To get you into the groove of things, you can watch 30 group stage matches live for free on the app. Beyond that, full access to all the features will set you back RM100 including all 64 matches plus over 100 hours classic matches and highlights from previous FIFA World Cups. Non-Astro subscribers can subscribe to the service for the same price as well. If you want, Astro is also offering pay-per-view for selected matches at RM6 per match.
The ‘Astro Go 2014 FIFA World Cup’ App can be downloaded for iOS (here) and for Android tablets and smartphones (here), while the web version can be accessed via www.stadiumastro.com. For more information on Astro on the Go, please visit www.astroonthego.com.
