Samsung Galaxy Note 4 alleged to feature Snapdragon 805 or Exynos 5433 processor and a 16MP OIS Camera

One stop Samsung resource centre Sammobile claims to have some legit info on the upcoming Galaxy Note 4. Like previous Galaxy models, the new Galaxy Note 4 is said to be available with 2 processor choices of either Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor or Samsung’s very own Exynos 5433.

It is claimed that the Snapdragon 805 unit will be heading to selected markets such as the US, China, Japan, Korea while the rest of the world including Europe will be getting the Exynos version. The Exynos variant is said to be paired with Intel’s XMM7260 Cat 6 modem which supports LTE-A speeds up to 300Mbps. It isn’t clear whether the Snapdragon version destined for LTE-happy Korea will be having the same modem.

As you would expect for a device that’s launching at the end of this year, the Galaxy Note 4 will be having a Quad HD display which was earlier rumoured to be 5.7″ in size. Over at the back, the main camera maintains the same 16MP pixel count as the Galaxy S5 but Samsung is alleged to be turning to Sony’s IMX240 sensor which is assisted with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). After all, they have the LG G3 to beat especially in the display and imaging department.

Adding to the leak confusion, the heavily speculated Galaxy F or Galaxy S5 Prime would be very similar in specs as the upcoming Galaxy Note 4. It could be a Korean or Japan specific model and there’s a possibility that it might just turn out to be another extra Galaxy S5 Neo/Plus/Advance variant as a stop gap measure before the next Galaxy S model is released in 2015.

Last year, we saw major smart phone makers following the cycle of having 2 flagship models per year. If the Galaxy F series is indeed true, having 3 flagship models per annum is quite an overkill considering the average user won’t change their phones that often.
