Just as the Huawei Ascend P7 is starting to gain attention locally, the Chinese smart phone maker will be holding an event on 24th June where they are expected to introduce its new Honor 6 smart phone. The current Honor is still in its 3rd generation and it is interesting to see Huawei skipping the numbers 4 and 5 for this one.
There’s a lot to look forward to with the Honor 6. Their recently announced Kirin 920 is expected to make its debut in the device which is an Octa-Core processor based on ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture. It consist of 2 sets of Quad-Core processors with 4 Cortex-A15 cores for high performance and another 4 Cortex-A7 cores for power efficiency. Performance wise, it is spotted in early benchmarks with performance figures trailing closely behind Qualcomm’s next generation Snapdragon 805 processor.
Other specs also include 3GB of RAM and a 5″ Full HD 1080p display. The rest of the details are quite scarce right now but we do expect better if not similar offering as their current Ascend P7. Check out the purported Honor 6 design after the break.
