With just a week away from its launch, more details of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S have surfaced revealing a super thin 6.6mm thickness. The folks at Sammobile have gotten a several images of the Galaxy Tab S which appears to be screenshots of its promo video.
The Galaxy Tab S is expected to be lightweight as well at only 465 grams. Being a flagship device, you can also expect some productivity features found on the NotePRO such as Remote PC and SideSync. Dimension wise, it isn’t the thinnest and lightest full-sized tablet considering the wafer thin Xperia Z2 Tablet is only 6.4mm thin and weighs just 426grams for the WiFi version. Meanwhile, the iPad Air with its 9.7″ display is 7.5mm thick and weighs 469 grams.
To recap on the speculated specs, the Galaxy Tab S will be using an ultra-high resolution Super AMOLED display at 2560×1600 pixels resolution and runs on their own Exynos Octa-Core processor with 3GB of RAM. It will be available in either 8.4″ and 10.5″ variants. As seen on the earlier leaks, the Galaxy Tab S will use the similar perforated back cover design as the Galaxy S5 and comes with a fingerprint scanner on the home button.
