It has only been 3 months since the Nokia X has been announced and now its replacement is already under way. The Nokia X, which aims to fill the gap between Asha and Lumia range in developing countries hasn’t been a hit due to stiff competition especially from the Chinese brands.
Its replacement, the Nokia X2 is stepping up its game by offering better hardware that’s similar to the new affordable Moto E. It gets a bigger 4.3″ (up from 4.0″) display that does 800×480 pixels resolution and runs on a beefier dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB of storage. The camera has been upgraded to a 5MP unit at the back and comes with a front facing VGA shooter. In terms of software, the AnTutu benchmark result shows that it’s running on a newer Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
If it is priced below RM300, this might have a fighting chance, however we are still not convinced with Nokia’s UI execution on the Android platform. If you’re looking for the cheapest smart phone with decent offering, the ZenFone 4 packs incredible value for just RM299. You get a 4″ WVGA display, a dual-core 1.2GHz Intel processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, Dual-SIM slots and a 5MP camera that can even shoot Full HD videos.
You can check out the Nokia X2 details from AnTuTu after the break.
