The LG G3 is probably the worst kept secret after the HTC One M8. It will be officially announced next week on the 28th of May but we’ve already seen countless of leaked images both candid and official. Now its full specs have surfaced from a couple of photos taken at a private briefing event. The presentation slides have revealed a couple of interesting details and has confirmed what we’ve known so far about the device.
The model shown here is the Korean version ( F400S/K/L) and it packs a 5.5″ Quad HD IPS display with a Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. On-board it gets 32GB of storage and has a large 3,000mAh capacity battery. Under the hood, this is looking like a direct competitor to the high-spec Oppo Find 7.
The LG G3 gets 4G LTE-A support and there’s no mention of a microSD expansion slot for the Korean version. Like the current LG G Pro 2 phablet, there’s a 1 Watt loudspeaker and a 13MP main camera which is enhanced with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
Remember the black colour element next to the camera? Instead of just being a IR blaster, it is speculated to be an auto focus camera aid which works during low light conditions. It terms of size, the LG G3 measures at 146.3mm x 74.6mm. When compared with the current flagships, the LG G3 with its thin bezel is shorter than the 5.2″ Xperia Z2 and slightly narrower than the 5.5″ Oppo Find 7 and OnePlus One smart phones. The thickness is the same as the OnePlus One at just 8.9mm.
The international version should be similar but with some minor tweaks. Hopefully that comes with a microSD slot included. The global launch is happening next week on 28th May. To get a better view of the device, you can view its leaked press images and teaser video.
