U Mobile is the first telco to offer Free Internet Roaming in 7 countries

U Mobile packs quite a lot of value in their postpaid plans with its affordable data quota with bundled calls or SMS. When it comes to travel, using the internet on your mobile device can be a costly affair and it is usually cheaper to get a local SIM even for a short trip.

Now its Unlimited Postpaid Plans are even better with free Internet Roaming in Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan & Thailand. This makes U Mobile the first telco in Malaysia to offer such roaming service for free.

Before you start using this overseas, read on for the fine print.

Looking at the details, the U Mobile Free Internet Roaming offer is limited to just 50MB per day. While this doesn’t sound a lot, it is enough for basic instant messaging and occasional updates on social networks. If you need more, U Mobile charges a maximum cap of RM30/day in the listed countries which is among the cheapest unlimited data roaming rates. You can check out the full roaming details here.

To enjoy the Free Internet Roaming, just make sure you are manually connected to the right network as listed above. There’s no activation required and you can use it straight away once you’ve allowed data roaming on your device. This offer is applicable on U Mobile’s Unlimited Postpaid Plans, Device Plans and Internet Share Plans.
