The folks at MyTeksi will be launching GrabCar next week, a new service which provides stylish chauffeured-driven transport like Uber. The invite portrays the service as a solution when it is hard to get a cab during peak hours.
Being a premium service above the standard taxi, you can expect better cars and a higher rate which is similar to Uber that was launched late last year. With Uber, you get to order a premium vehicle such as Camry, Accord, A6 Hybrid, E-Class or even an Alphard that’s driven by its network of professional drivers.
The rates for Uber have gone down significantly and it is even cheaper than taking a budget taxi after midnight. You can check out our review of Uber’s personal driver service over here.
With the addition of GrabCar, this gives more choice for people to move around KL in style and competition is always a good thing. Being a local company, we hope they would expand their service beyond the Klang Valley.
