HTC launches Desire 610 and Desire 816 in Malaysia

Apart from the HTC One M8, HTC Malaysia has also launched the Desire 610 and Desire 816 smart phones in Malaysia. The Desire 610 with its 4.7″ display is going for RM999 while the Desire 816 with its bigger 5.5″ display is going for RM1,199. Both devices will be available in Malaysia by end May or early June.

The dwell deeper into the specs, the Desire 610 is a mid-spec smart phone with a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage. The main camera is a 8MP BSI unit with f/2.4 aperture and it supports Full HD 1080p video recording.

Meanwhile at the front, the Desire 610’s 4.7″ display pushes a qHD resolution of 960×540 while its front camera is rated at 1.3MP. Juicing up the device is 2,040mAh battery and overall it weighs 143.5 grams with a thickness of 9.6mm.

The bigger Desire 816 offers more uprated specs with the front 5.5″ display pushing 720p HD resolution and runs on a faster Quad-Core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It also gets a boost in the camera department with a 13MP BSI sensor for its main shooter while front shots are taken care by its 5MP BSI camera. Both front and back cameras are capable of shooting 1080p HD video. On-board it gets a 2,600mAh battery but still manages to maintain a rather slim 7.9mm profile. It tips the scale at 165grams.

Both Desire 610 and Desire 816 comes with HTC’s famed Boom Sound front stereo speakers, 4G LTE support, a microSD expansion slot that supports 128GB capacity and uses nano SIM. You can get the full specs over at HTC’s Desire 610 and Desire 816 product pages.
