UPDATE: Check out our hands-on and first impressions of the Honor 3C here.

After its guess the price campaign, Huawei has officially announced its new Honor 3C smart phone at an affordable RM499. The Honor 3C specs competes with smart phones like Xiaomi Redmi, ASUS ZenFone 5 and even the Moto G. It features a 5″ HD 720p display, a Quad-Core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor and supports Dual-SIM.

For Malaysia, Huawei is packing 2GB of RAM which is very generous for a smart phone in this price range. It gets 8GB of on-board storage which can be expanded with microSD. While it carries an affordable price tag, the Honor 3C should be a decent shooter with a Sony 8MP BSI Sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens. Meanwhile front Selfies are taken by a 5MP camera with a wide angle 22mm lens.

Juicing up the Honor 3C is a 2,300mAh capacity battery and overall it weighs a decent 140 grams with a thickness of 9.2mm. At the moment, it is running on Android 4.2 with Huawei’s emotion UI. There are total of 6 colours available – Pearl White, Titanium Grey, Champagne Gold, Lamborghini Yellow, Rococo Pink and Tiffany Green. If you’re interested, the Honor 3Cis available through Huawei’s VMall and through online retailers such as SuperBuy, Lazada, StoreKini and Lelong. If you’re one of the lucky 100 that guessed the Honor 3C price correctly, Huawei will be sending a voucher code by email which you can redeem at their VMall Online store.
