This feature phone doubles up as a battery pack for your smart phone

If your smart phone is low in battery, you can always count on a power bank to juice up while you’re on the go. Well, guess what? There’s actually a feature phone does the same job as well.

The Gphone BiGG claims to be the first ever Power Bank phone in Malaysia. Being a feature phone, it offers a standard 2.4″ colour display with dual-SIM card slots with 2G EDGE speeds for very basic internet usage. You’ll also get a rear camera, FM Radio, MP3 playback and even Bluetooth connectivity.

The biggest thing about this device is the battery which comes with a huge capacity of 2,200mAh. That’s encroaching high-end smart phone territory and as comparison, the previous HTC One (M7) embedded battery comes with just 2,300mAh capacity. To utilise this as a battery pack, there’s a full sized USB port at the sides where you can plug in your standard USB charging cables. The Gphone BiGG is quite cheap as well at just RM129 and it can be found on Lelong. Not bad for a feature phone which can be used for backup.

Now who says feature phones are dead? It could one day save your smart phone’s battery life.
