HTC One M8 Malaysia Launch

UPDATE: If you can’t wait, you can buy the HTC One M8 in Malaysia at RM2,598. Details here.

As the world waits for the Samsung Galaxy S5 to go on sale, HTC is making the first move by selling its latest HTC One M8 early in Asia.

According to CNet, the One M8 was launched locally in Singapore last night at S$998 (about RM2,585) and it will be available for purchase this Saturday, 5th April 2014. For those prefer to get it on contract, the HTC One M8 will be offered by M1, StarHub and Singtel. This puts the HTC One M8 availability ahead of the Galaxy S5 which will be on sale globally next week on 11th April.

Next question is how about the folks in Malaysia? At the moment, the new HTC One M8 is probably going on sale here right after the Galaxy S5. So far we have yet to see any launch invites from HTC Malaysia. During last week’s announcement, our 4 main telcos – Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile were listed as partners offering the device on contact.

In the mean time, you can read our first impressions and watch our hands-on video of the HTC One M8.
