Celcom opens registration of interest for Galaxy S5

Celcom, one of the telcos offering the Samsung Galaxy S5 in Malaysia is one step closer in offering the new flagship device on contract. After posting a teaser image last week, they have started opening registration of interest for the new flagship device.

Interestingly, the registration page reveals that Celcom is only offering 2 colours – Black & Shimmering White. Meanwhile DiGi is offering the striking Electric Blue as an additional colour. To make your early registration worthwhile, Celcom will be inviting those who have registered between 20-24th March to a special Galaxy S5 preview event.

From the registration page, Celcom indicates that we will be receiving the smaller 16GB version of the Galaxy S5. Fortunately, there’s a microSD expansion slot that supports up to 128GB microSD. Like its former Galaxy S4, the 16GB on-board storage is probably insufficient for most users as almost half would likely be taken up by system files.

For more information, head over to Celcom’s Galaxy S5 registration page. The Galaxy S5 is launching in Malaysia on 27th of March with sales availability to follow right after.
