Sony Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 tablet regional launch is happening today

Update: It’s official, Sony will be making a range of Xperia devices available in Malaysia from April. Details here.

We are currently in Jakarta to cover Sony’s regional launch event of the latest Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet. Apart from the 2 new devices, we would expect Sony to reveal the rest of their product line up including their mid-tier Xperia M2 smart phone.

To recap, the Xperia Z2 is an improvement over its previous Xperia Z1 with a slightly larger 5.2″ display, newer Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM, 4K video recording and a pair of front facing stereo speakers. The Xperia Z2 tablet comes with similar processor and RAM packaged in an incredibly thin 6.4mm thickness and weighs from just 426 grams.

The event is happening at 2PM Malaysian time so do follow our tweets at @soya_cincau. Hit the link below for our previous coverage on the new Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet from Mobile World Congress.
