ASUS PadFone Infinity Lite announced. Same device but runs on an older processor

ASUS has introduced the PadFone Infinity Lite in its home ground Taiwan, which yet another addition its range of smart phone + tablet hybrid devices. Looking at the specs, the PadFone Infinity Lite is actually identical with the 2nd generation PadFone Infinity (A86). The only difference is that it runs on an older 1.7GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 as the earlier 1st generation PadFone Infinity, instead of a faster 2.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 unit.

The PadFone smart phone comes with a 5″ Full HD display and there’s a 13MP f/2.0 camera which is also used when docked in the tablet station. It also gets 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The smart phone is powered with a 2,400mAh capacity battery while the tablet docking station with a Full HD 10.1″ screen comes with a 5,000mAh capacity battery.

The PadFone Infinity Lite will be released in Taiwan at TWD13,990 for the smart phone while the tablet docking station is sold separately for TWD13,990. That’s roughly RM2,300 for both devices combined. Out of the box, it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
