UPDATE: The device was launched as the Xperia M2, a new mid-tier device with 4G LTE.
As we look forward to Sony’s upcoming flagship device, a purported mid-spec smart phone has emerged and it is rumoured to be called the Sony Xperia G. With a side by side comparison with the current Xperia Z1, it looks slightly smaller and word has it that it comes with a 4.8″ display.
The discovery was made through Vizileaks who also added that it won’t be a water resistant device but it will support 4G LTE connectivity. Details of the hardware is still rather limited but it is said to come with 1GB of RAM and a 8MP camera. We are wondering if the device would debut at the upcoming MWC 2014 at Barcelona or perhaps at the regional Jakarta event in March.
