We’ve seen it on Android, BlackBerry 10 and on iOS. Now Microsoft is expected to bring the commonly used “Notifications” centre feature onto their Windows Phone platform and it will be called “Action Centre”.
In a leaked internal document, the new Action Centre that comes with Windows Phone 8.1 update (Blue) offers a centralised place to view all missed notifications and the screenshot reveals quick toggles for WiFi, Bluetooth and various settings as well. The notification is said to be customisable according to apps and there’s even an option to clear all notifications as well. Another minor touch is the battery percentage meter and current date being displayed right below the top status bar.
The new Windows Phone 8.1 update is expected to debut at Microsoft’s upcoming Build Conference that’s happening on 2nd April.
