Malaysian Android App developers can start reeling in the big bucks as Google Malaysia has announced that Google Play Store has opened up its doors to paid apps from local developers. App developers will just need to set up their Google Wallet merchant account in the Developer Console. For those currently offering the apps for free, they can consider expanding into the Freemium model where they can charge for optional in-app items or add-ons. The Google Play store currently is accessible throughout 130 countries which is a big market potential for our local budding mobile app developers. Also recently Google Play has started pricing its apps and games in our local Malaysian Ringgit currency.
