The LG G Pro 2 – LG’s answer to the Galaxy Note 3 will be launching next week on 13th February in Seoul, Korea. The invitation shown above runs around the theme “Knock-knock knockin’ on” hints its Knock-on feature where the device can be awaken by just knocking on the screen. Having to launch before MWC 2014 would give it uncluttered attention ahead of other phone launches but it will be interesting to see if it is compelling enough to ward off the competition which are expected to announce their flagships at month end.
The G Pro 2 is the sequel of its former LG Optimus G Pro that went head on with the Galaxy Note II. For the new version, it has been rumoured to pack top notch hardware such as a Full HD 6″ IPS display, the current Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM and a 13MP camera with Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS) and is capable of recording 4K videos. On paper, this looks like a better device than the Galaxy Note 3 but it all depends on how quickly LG can go to market in Malaysia.
