Leaked HTC M8 Home Screen reveals transparent on-screen buttons

@evLeaks have just posted a screenshot of what he claims to be the home screen of the upcoming HTC M8. As we all know, the new model replaces the front capacitive buttons with on-screen buttons.

The screenshot reveals a rather interesting execution where the 3 typical android buttons are floating with a transparent background. Even the 4 docked shortcut icons appears to be floating as well. It is rumoure that the on-screen buttons are collapsible whereby it can be hidden when not required.

Overall this looks very different from the so-called leaked HTC M8 photos which we saw yesterday, which casts some doubts if the HTC One lookalike is a spoof. The picture credibility was questioned following a tweet by one of HTC director of a supposed “photo shopping” activity that’s going on. It is likely to be fake as it shows a solid black bar for the on-screen buttons and a different WiFi icon from what we can see from the screenshot above.

Hopefully we can look forward to an all new design for the next HTC flagship smart phone.
