Apple lists DiGi as supported 4G LTE carrier for iPad & iPhone. USIM required to connect to LTE

A few days back, iPhone users on DiGi were pushed a new software updates which gives them 4G LTE support. Now Apple’s website finally confirms this and have listed DiGi under its list of supported telcos for their iPad & iPhone which includes the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina display.

Unlike other 4G telcos such as Maxis & Celcom, DiGi’s 4G network is running solely on LTE Band 7 (2600MHz). Interestingly, Apple has listed DiGi being supported for the iPhone 5 and the 4th gen iPad with Retina Display which runs on LTE Band 3 (1800MHz). DiGi meanwhile has also confirmed on Twitter that its 4G network runs on 2600MHz.

At the moment, DiGi’s 4G LTE roll out is said to be in the testing phase and it is limited to the Klang Valley. Before you’re able to hook on to their 4G LTE network, DiGi says that you would need to switch to their USIM card which has a “U” indicated on the SIM.
