The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 units in Malaysia have started receiving the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. The new software brings a couple of new Android 4.4 enhancement including a transparent notification bar and native app improvements. If you haven’t received the Over The Air (OTA) notification, you can download manually from Settings > More > About Device > Software update. In the unlikely event that doesn’t work, you can download Samsung Kies 3.
For those using 3rd party accessories with their Note 3, there have been reports of incompatibility especially with the S-View cases. This is probably an attempt to clampdown on unauthorised accessories like Apple. If you face such issues after upgrading, share them in the comments below.
