If you’re looking for a large format smartphone, here’s another one that has just been introduced here. The ASUS FonePad Note 6 is now available in Malaysia.
As the name suggests the, FonePad Note 6 brings with it a 6-inch 1080p Super IPS+ display pushing out 380 nits and 367 ppi. Where most mobile devices in the market use Snapdragon processors, the FonePad Note 6 is powered by a 2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor which, from our experience, is more power efficient than its competitors.
Other than that, everything else about the FonePad Note 6 is pretty standard, there’s 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage with MicroSD expansion up to 64GB, an 8MP rear camera with 1080p video and a 1.2MP front camera with 720p video, you also get a built-in stylus and dual-front speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio enhancement and a 3,200 mAh battery pack.
Together with the FonePad Note 6 announcement ASUS has also announced the availability of the 8GB version of the FonePad 7.
The FonePad 7 is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor with 1GB of RAM and a microSD slot that takes cards up to 32GB. The FonePad 7 retains the same 7-inch 1280×800 IPS LCD display as its predecessor with a rather average 216 ppi. There’s also dual-front stereo speakers, a 5MP main camera that supports Full HD video, a front facing 1.2MP camera and a 3,950mAh battery pack that ASUS claims is good for up to 10 hours of use.
The ASUS FonePad Note 6 retails for RM 1,399 and the ASUS FonePad 7 8GB is priced at RM749. Both devices will be available starting from Friday this week.
