Just a couple of hours ago, Maxis has revealed its bundled pricing from as low as RM1,449 for the 16GB WiFi+Celluar model. Outright it is priced at RM2,049 for its base 16GB storage option which is RM150 more than last year’s iPad.
The new iPad Air is a total redesign from its previous 3rd & 4th generation iPads. While maintaining its 9.7″ Retina Display, the new model is 20% thinner at 7.5mm and 28% lighter with just 469 grams of weight. Internally it runs on their top notch A7 chip and M7 co-processor that’s also powering its flagship iPhone 5S. It is available in both Space Grey & Silver with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage capacity. You can read up more info on the latest iPad Air & 2nd generation iPad mini here.
Since its official announcement, the iPad Air took 43 days to arrive in Malaysia just in time for the Christmas holiday season. The arrival of the latest iPad came quietly without the usual formal PR announcement from Apple. For those looking for a compact iPad mini with Retina display, do expect it to be available shortly after this.
