Celcom teases iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina Display in Malaysia. Registration of Interest is now open

UPDATE: Celcom reveals iPad Air plans. Offered as low as RM1,248 starting 9th December.

The recently announced iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina Display is coming to Malaysia pretty soon. Celcom has put up teasers for the 2 new iPads on their site and is now accepting registration of interest for those who are interested.

The new iPad Air is a whole new revamp over its predecessor which is 20% thinner and 28% lighter but still maintains the same 9.7″ Retina Display. Meanwhile the iPad mini finally gets a boost with a 7.9″ Retina Display which pushes a rather high display density of 326ppi (pixels per inch). Both devices are powered with the latest Apple A7 chip that’s currently powering their current iPhone 5S. You can read up more on the new iPads in our earlier post here.

From what we’ve seen with the iPhone 5S pricing, we can expect the new iPads to be priced higher than usual. So don’t expect the same starting price of RM999 and RM1,499 for the iPad mini and its full sized iPad Air this time around. Hopefully the new iPads will go on sale in Malaysia before Christmas.

If you’re interested to be among the first to get the new iPads on contract, drop your details over at Celcom’s iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina Display pages.
