Google Now was introduced together with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it was seen as Google’s answer to Apple’s Siri. On the latest Android 4.4 KitKat, the functionality of Google Now is much more integrated and can been triggered by simply saying “OK Google” and even “OK Jarvis”. For older Jelly bean devices, Google Now can be activated by swiping the Home button upwards.
