Flexible displays on smartphones are the in thing right now while its a trend we’re not really sure will catch on, it is one the Samsung is keen to exploit. This is probably the first of many TV spots we’ll see from the Korean manufacturer showcasing what it claims it the first smartphone in the world with a curved display — the oddly named Galaxy Round.
So what benefits does a curved screen have over a flat one? The ad seems to tell us that users will appreciate the ergonomics. The ad also seem to tell us that sliding your fingers over a curved plane feels more natural than a flat one. Anyways, we’re still not sold on the idea of a curved screen device.
