Twitter Releases Android Tablet Optimised Version of its Mobile App

It took them long enough but we’re happy that it’s finally here. Twitter has released a tablet optimised version of its mobile app but before you jump for joy you’ll want to know that the app is available for Samsung tablets only at the moment — Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) first, other Samsung tablets will follow soon. If you’re using Android tablets other than Samsung, you will have to wait until the end of the year to download the app. On Samsung tablets, the Android tablet optimised Twitter app works in Multi Window mode allowing you to use Twitter while also using another application at the same time.

This collaboration between Twitter and Samsung to release a tablet optimise app for Android is a big step in the right direction and here’s hoping other developers will follow suit — we’re looking at you Facebook.
