UPDATE: Apple Malaysia to offer iPhone 5C/5S on its Online Store on 31st October.
If you’ve been waiting to get an iPhone 5C or iPhone 5S in Malaysia, mark your calendar this November 1st. Apple has just announced its next two phase of iPhone 5C/5S availability and us folks in Malaysia will be getting it under 24 days.
At the moment, a couple of retailers have started selling imported units of the iPhone 5C from RM1,915 and the iPhone 5S from RM2,849. In terms of official unit pricing, the iPhone 5S pricing shouldn’t stray too far away from the iPhone 5 pricing when it was launched last year however due to fluctuating currency exchange between USD and RM, a slight increase might be expected.
On November 1st, we would expect the 3 big telcos – DiGi, Celcom and Maxis to offer the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S simultaneously on contract and for those who want to purchase outright, there’s always the Apple Online Store and authorised retailers such as Senheng.
This time around, the new iPhone 5C/5S arrives quicker in Malaysia in just 51 days since its announcement on September 11th. As comparison, the iPhone 5 took 91 days to reach Malaysia on 14th December 2012.
