HTC One Max announcement happening next week in multiple locations

The HTC One Max with its images leaked numerous times is set to be announced sometime next week in multiple location. It is said that the global announcement is happening on October 15th in China, followed by October 16th in Hong Kong and October 18th in Taiwan.

The invitation above teases a few liners mentioning a finger that opens up a new window and you’re invited to immerse in sound with us. No doubt this confirms the earlier speculation that the HTC One Max will come with a finger print scanner located at the back of the device below the camera lens. Hopefully it is as easy to set up and use as the iPhone 5S’s Touch ID.

In terms of specs, the HTC One Max is the Taiwanese maker answer to the recent rise of phablets with a bigger 5.9″ display with updated top notch hardware including Snapdragon 800 processor, stereo front facing speakers and its Ultrapixel camera. The actual specs are quite sketchy at the moment with some suggesting that the One Max might be running on the lower Snapdragon 600 processor instead.

The current 4.7″ HTC One remains one of our favourite android smart phones and expectations are rather high for its bigger brother. The smart phone to beat is definitely the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which we currently find it hard to fault in terms of performance and usability. Obviously the aluminium clad HTC One Max will score more points in build quality but hopefully the price and specs are compelling enough to bring some competition to the table.
