Being exclusive comes with an expensive price tag. If the Gold iPhone 5S is too common among the masses, you can turn to Vertu which makes one of the most exquisite smart phones today. Now they have an updated Vertu Constellation which is their second smart phone that runs on Android operating system. The previous Vertu Constellation was based on Nokia’s hardware running on Symbian^3.
Those who are particular about build quality on a smart phone, will not be disappointed with the Constellation. The Vertu focuses on craftsmanship with each individual Constellation is being handmade in England by a single craftsman using the finest leather and forged titanium case. The front comes with a 4.3″ 720p HD display and it is toughen with scratch proof sapphire crystal which is able to withstand an impact of a 200 grams steel ball dropped from a height of 1 metre.
Powering the device is a modest 1.7GHz Qualcomm S4 Pro and it comes with 32GB of on-storage. In the imaging department, the Vertu Constellation packs a 13MP main shooter and a 1.3MP front facing camera. The downside is that it lacks 4G LTE connectivity and comes with a rather paltry 1,800mAh battery. Overall, the Constellation with its premium materials is 11.2mm thick and weighs 179 grams.
Probably the good news is that the Constellation is priced at US$6,600 (Approximately RM21,250). That’s more affordable than its previous lower spec Vertu Ti which costs around RM30K for the base model.
