BlackBerry today has officially announced its new flagship device – The BlackBerry Z30. Following its 4.2″ BlackBerry Z10, the Z30 goes further with a bigger display, improved hardware and more affordable flagship pricetag. Unlike its expensive predecessors, the Z30 is priced at a competitive RM1,998. This makes it slightly affordable than its iPhone and Android rivals.
Just like the earlier rumours & leaks suggest, the Z30 comes with a large 5.0″ display that does 1280×720 pixels resolution and runs on a more uprated 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. If you need more storage, the Z30 also comes with expandable microSD slot as well. In the camera department, it comes with a 8MP main shooter with f/2.2 aperture and a front facing 2MP camera.
A new feature on the Z30 is its stereo speakers which they call Natural Sound. BlackBerry claims that it produces enhanced audio which gives a feeling that you’re conversing with a person in the same room over BBM Video Chat. Juicing up the device is a rather generous 2,880mAh battery which is rated to last for 25 hours of mixed usage. It is also good to know that the Z30 has 4G LTE and NFC as standard. Out of the box,it runs on BlackBerry OS 10.2.
For now, Celcom will be the exclusive telco of the Z30 for 2 weeks starting from 5th October. As an early bird bonus, Celcom is giving the first 200 customers a free BlackBerry Z10 and a pair of tickets to Alicia Keys concert that’s happening in KL.
Head after the break for the BlackBerry Z30 promo video.
