Acer is struggling to keep up with the big boys when it comes to high end smart phones. With Full 1080p HD video recording being mainstream in most smart phones today, Acer has taken a giant leap to stand out by introducing its latest Acer Liquid S2 that boasts as the first ever smart phone with 4K video recording from its 13MP camera. To put that in numbers, the mainstream Full 1080p HD video records typically in 1920×1080 but at 4K, it is doubled in width and height at 3840×2160 pixels resolution.
The rest of the specs doesn’t fail to impress as well with a 6″ Full HD IPS display, 2.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a large 3,300mAh battery. Storage can be expanded too with a microSD expansion slot. Surrounding the 13MP BSI shooter, the Liquid S2 uses a circular LED flash ring instead of the usual standalone LED flash design. In terms of connectivity, it also comes with 4G LTE support as well. Out of the box, the Liquid S2 runs on the current Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
The Liquid S2 is set to be released in Europe at end of October and there’s no word of its availability elsewhere for now.
