HTC One Android 4.2.2 update rolls out locally

HTC has finally rolled out its Android 4.2.2 update to users in Malaysia which brings a host of new improvements.

Some of the obvious additions are:

Quick Settings Panel, accessed from the drop down notifications bar
Able to activate “press and hold Home button” for menu
Show battery percentage level in status bar
Press and hold to lock camera Auto Exposure/Focus
Additional HTC Zoe Themes

For those that often use Zoe to create highlight videos, the new update seems to have fixed the bug which tends to include non-selected items in the video making process.

HTC One owners in Malaysia should be notified on the software update yesterday. To get the update manually, simply go to Settings > About > Software Updates. You’ll need to download the first minor update of 1.47MB, followed by the actual Android 4.2.2 upgrade. We would recommend downloading this via WiFi as it is 440MB in size.
