After the announcement of its high end BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 models, we’ve seen BlackBerry rolling out cheaper alternatives such as the BlackBerry Q5. The above image is apparently the purported entry level version of a BlackBerry 10 device with a full touch screen experience, in other words, a cheaper Z10. Currently it is dubbed as the BlackBerry Z5 and currently there’s no details of its internal specs but it shouldn’t be far off from what the Q5 is offering.
The BlackBerry 10 OS is definitely a refreshing and from our hands-on experience, the gestures are pretty easy to get used to and feels natural in single hand use. At the moment, the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 are priced the same range, if not higher than its Android and iPhone rivals. The challenge would be to bring the experience to the masses, and having an affordable offering is crucial for BlackBerry.
