Maxis starts Registration of Interest for BlackBerry Z10

The latest BlackBerry Z10 powered with its new BlackBerry 10 OS is now ready for pre-registration on Maxis with both Black and White colour versions being offered.

As announced during their Malaysian launch event, the BlackBerry Z10 will be available on Maxis on 9th March while DiGi and Celcom will start offering it a month later on 8th April. There’s also a launch trade-in program where they are accepting models from BlackBerry Curve 8520 (RM255) to BlackBerry Bold 9900 (RM485) . The trade-in program is limited to the first 3,000 units.

To recap on the specs, the BlackBerry Z10 retailing at RM2,188 comes with a 4.2″ 1280×768 display (356ppi), dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage via microSD. It comes with a main 8MP camera and a front facing 2MP shooter. You can head over to the BlackBerry Z10 product page for the full specs.

For the BB purist, there’s the BlackBerry Q10 which comes with the traditional full QWERTY keyword but that’s coming later towards the middle of 2013. For the new BlackBerry 10 devices, BIS subscription is no longer required and it connects using the standard mobile data plans like any other smart phones today.
