Google has now introduced Handwrite, a new way to search on Google with your smart phone and tablets. To enable this, head to the Settings link on the mobile Google search and enable HandWrite, then save. You’ll see a “g” scribbled icon at the bottom right which you can toggle anytime on mobile Google search to start writing.
We tested it ourselves and the accuracy is pretty good. Obviously you would need to write clearly for it to register properly. HandWrite supports 27 languages but you’ll need to change your language preference in order to switch from English. This means you would need to change your default language to Chinese for it to recognise Chinese characters. In a rush for time situation, we feel that swyping is overall faster than writing. No doubt it is still a nice feature that comes built-in with the default mobile Google web page.
