Motorola DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX Gets Ice Cream Sandwich. Global Release Shouldn’t Be Long Now

Motorola have started rolling out the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX in the US. These two devices are slightly different from the non-DROID branded RAZR and RAZR MAXX here in Malaysia, the major difference being the omission of LTE in the Malaysian versions.

Also, since MCMC doesn’t allow SIM-locked devices in Malaysia there are less bloatware and operator specific applications installed in the RAZR and RAZR MAXX sold in Malaysia, this means that the Ice Cream Sandwich update is pretty much a straight forward upgrade as there’s no real delay-inducing development and customizations to worry about.

And with that, it’s reasonable to assume that a global release shouldn’t be long now. We’ll update you once we get the word. In the meantime, check out more Motorola RAZR Ice Cream Sandwich videos here.
