LG Optimus 2X ICS update coming in Q3 2012

The one year old LG Optimus 2X was the first Android dual-core smart phone to hit Malaysia. In terms of software, LG has been trying to keep its devices up to date with the latest version and so far it is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Earlier on, LG was expected to roll out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in Q2 this year. However based on the latest update, it looks like LG users might need to wait for another quarter in Q3 and we hope this is finally the real deal. Other devices expected to be upgraded include the Optimus Black, Optimus 3D & LG Prada.

Thanks @baliriot for the alert.
