Huawei has revealed its upcoming Android smart phone – The Huawei Ascend P1 S which has a thickness of just 6.68mm! That’s thinner than the Motorola RAZR‘s 7.1mm and Samsung Galaxy S II‘s 8.49mm.

The internal hardware specs are impressive as well. It has a 4.3″ display that’s using Super AMOLED with qHD resolution of 960×540. For extra durability, it is toughen with Corning’s Gorilla Glass. Powering the device is a dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor at 1.5GHz with 1GB of RAM. It is said to be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but surprisingly there are physical Android buttons at the front.

For imaging it comes with a back-lit 8MP camera and a front facing 1.3MP camera. There’s also another model – the Ascend P1 (without S) which is slightly thicker at 7.69mm but carries roughly the same specification. No pricing has been revealed but it is expected to be available sometime in Q2 2012. Looks like Huawei is taking on the big boys in the Android arena.
