Just by looks alone the Asus Transformer Prime is already one of the most desirable Android tablets we’ve seen but Asus is not just banking on the sleek form factor of the Transformer Prime to convince you that this is probably one of the best Android tablets to date.
The biggest attraction to the Asus Transformer Prime will be its performance with an all new Tegra 3 quad-core processor that’s slated to run at around 1.5GHz. Another selling point for the Asus Transformer Prime will be the f/2.4 8MP camera that’s capable of shooting 1080p video.
But numbers is just one side of the story and there are a bunch of 8MP devices in the market today, so naturally many will be curious to find out how the camera on the Transformer Prime performs compared to the other 8MP devices.
We’ve gathered here for you some sample pictures and a video of the camera in action. The picture samples came from Asus’ own Facebook fanpage and unfortunately the full 8MP resolution is not available but that doesn’t detract from the fact that the camera on the Transformer Prime is mightily impressive.
The video performance is spectacular as well, we got a full 1080p video sample for you right after the jump and if we didn’t say that it came from the Asus Transformer Prime, we’re pretty sure you’d think the footage came from a proper dedicated camera. The Transformer Prime’s camera looks to be that good.
Head on over after the jump and tell us what you think.
