The ASUS Transformer Prime is finally live on ASUS website and claims to be the most powerful tablet ever. There’s no significant change on its specification and features since its official reveal.
Just to recap on the Transformer Prime, it runs on the latest Quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM and a enhanced 10.1″ Super IPS+ display. At 8.3mm thin, this is one of the slimmest tablet to date, which is even thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1’s 8.6mm. However the thinnest Android tablet title still goes to Toshiba’s AT200 at 7.7mm.
While the overall design with a matching keyboard dock is similar as the previous Transformer, it comes with a sleek aluminium exterior and better sound offering with ASUS Sonic Master. According to the earlier hands-on, the transformer dock had some sound vents which acts like a sub-woofer. At the moment, the Transformer Prime is listed as running on Android 3.2 but mentions that it will be upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Those that are wanting to own one here, might need to wait until January 2012. For more information, head over to the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime page.
