UNCONFIRMED: ASUS Transformer Prime coming to Malaysia in January 2012

The ASUS Transformer Prime is one of the anticipated Android tablets to look out for with its Quad-core Tegra 3 processor and ultra-slim profile. Word has it that the aluminium clad Android tablet will be coming into Malaysia sometime January next year with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich installed.

No pricing details have been announced but we believe it would be competitively priced like its predecessor. The original Transformer 16GB WiFi was priced at RM1799 with the keyboard dock. Since this is a 32GB version, we would expect Transformer Prime to be priced higher. During its official announcement, the Transformer Prime is priced at US$499 with the optional dock going for US$149 which is about RM2036 combined.

If you’re wondering how does the Transformer Prime look like in real life, check out the early hands-on photo which compared it with other devices.
