At the AsiaD conference at Hong Kong, Johnny Shih, the chairman of ASUS has revealed a couple of things today. After releasing the teaser video, he has shed more light and even showcase the device in public.
The next Eee Pad Transformer or known as Transformer Prime is said to be only 8.3mm thin and also comes with a 10″ display. In terms of thickness, it isn’t as slim as Toshiba AT200 of 7.7mm. In terms of processing power, the new Transformer will have Nvidia’s quad-core processor (aka Tegra 3) and comes with USB and mini-HDMI ports. On availability, the chairman told the public to wait for formal announcement on 9th November.
On Ice Cream Sandwich OS, it was mentioned that it will reach existing tablets before the year is out. Looks like Eee Pad Transformer and Eee Pad Sliders have something to look forward to this Christmas.
Head after the break for more live pics of the new Transformer Tablet.
