Two moments that changed everything

Apple fan or not, you will agree that these two moments changed everything. The iPhone revolutionized an industry. Unveiled just four years ago, the first generation iPhone challenged the status quo and captured the imagination of millions. Today, most don’t consider a phone smart if it doesn’t have a touchscreen interface. Even RIM now makes BlackBerrys with touchscreens.

In the iPad, Apple rejuvenated the tablet market where other tech giants struggled. Today, the iPad is arguably the best tablet device in the world. Honeycomb tablets come close but its ecosystem is not as rich as the iPad’s. We’ll have to wait another couple of years for that.

Things are different today, Apple does not enjoy a commanding position in the smartphone market like it did since the iPhone was launched but despite this we can’t take away the fact that without the iPhone and the iPad, we wouldn’t have the selection of smartphones and tablets that we do now. #thankyoustevejobs

After the jump, we have two videos for you, the unveiling of the iPhone in 2007 and the iPad last year. Relive the moments that changed everything.
