Nexus Prime officially named Galaxy Nexus. Full specs leaked

The Nexus Prime is probably the most anticipated Android device right now. As the shape and design of the device have been all but revealed, focus now turns to its specifications. Ahead of its launch, BGR revealed the full specifications of the device once codenamed Nexus Prime. Here’s the low down on the device that will officially be called the Samsung Galaxy Nexus:

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 9mm thin
  • 4.65-inch 1280 x 720-pixel Super AMOLED HD with curved glass
  • TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz
  • 1GB RAM
  • 32GB of built-in storage
  • 5MP rear camera with 1080p HD video capture, 1.3-megapixel front camera
  • LTE/HSPA depending on carrier
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
  • NFC
  • 1,750 mAh battery

BGR says that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be a pure Google Experience device which means there will be no third-party UI skins or modifications. So TouchWhiz fans, you’re not getting any on the new Google phone. It’s cool that the Galaxy Nexus will be getting Ice Cream sandwich but we’re pretty bummed that its running a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor instead of the 1.5Ghz Exynos unit rumoured earlier. We were really looking forward to an 8MP camera as well. In any case, as you know, numbers only tell one side of the story. How the hardware performs in real-life is another thing altogether.
