Just as P1 confirms that its network is experiencing a large scale service interruption, Maxis reports via its customer support social media account that its network is also experiencing service interruption in some parts of Selangor and Perak.
At this moment, it is not clear as to how severe the service interruption but a quick call to Maxis customer service reveals that large parts of Perak and Northern Selangor are affected. A customer service rep we spoke to says that service is expected to be restored in about four to six hours.
At time of writing, our Maxis line is still intact. We are able to make calls, send text messages and surf with no issues (SpeedTest results as of 1942hrs: UL-1.32Mbps/DL-0.92Mbps/Ping-479ms). Test was conducted in Petaling Jaya, SS1 (Kampung Tunku) area.
